The rules that apply
- UK PECR regulation 22 allows marketing email to an individual only with prior consent, or where their details came from a sale or negotiations, it is for similar products and a free way to refuse was offered then and in every message. Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, regulation 22
- Since 1 February 2024 Google requires senders of over 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts to authenticate their mail and support one-click unsubscribe on marketing messages. Google Workspace Admin Help: Email sender guidelines
