- Time: 2 to 3 days
- Page: https://ellul.ai/services/hosting-move

## What is included
- Site files and database moved to the new host
- Mailboxes moved too where email sits with the old host
- DNS switched and SSL set up, with checks after the move
- Hosting in your name: fees go to the host directly

## What other providers charge

## How many people are asking for it
29 posts on Reddit asked to hire someone for hosting move and setup between November 2025 and November 2026, 14 of them in the last 90 days, most on r/freelance_forhire, r/Wordpress, r/sysadmin.

## Paid separately, at cost
- Your new hosting plan, paid to the host directly
- Domain renewals, paid to your registrar

## What the buyer supplies
- Logins to the old and new hosting accounts
- Access to your domain's DNS or registrar account
- Mailbox passwords or admin access where email moves too

## What the price does not cover
- One site; a shop or multisite move is the larger store migration
- A change of platform is a separate service, not a hosting move
- The new host's speed and uptime are the host's, not ours

## A cheaper way to do it
- Migrate Guru, an open source plugin on WordPress.org, moves a WordPress site's files and database to a new host, up to 5 moves a month. Source: [Migrate Guru, WordPress.org plugin directory](https://wordpress.org/plugins/migrate-guru/)
